This is typical for product visuals, social media posts, illustrations in documentation or preview images that would otherwise have to be made by hand. Anyone who needs many of them does not want a subscription but a price per image produced, and that is exactly how this is billed.
The images are produced within the European Union, and none of them is used for training. An idempotency key makes sure a repeated call does not cost a second time when a connection drops.
